Privacy Policy

We collect an email address through three forms: the save-results form on the neighborhood match results page, the relocation checklist email capture, and the deletion-request form below. The checklist asks for your email address and nothing else. The match save form sends your email address with the id of the results you are saving. The deletion form uses your email only to locate and remove your records; its request record is kept only until deletion is complete. A checklist or match-save submission attempts one automated email to you: the checklist link, or your matched areas with a link back to your results. Your email address and, when you save results, the names of your top matched areas go to the site operator. The operator may follow up and, if you request help and a licensed agent is available, arrange a handoff. We do not automatically send your details to a third-party agent, and we do not sell your data.

We use first-party measurement only: aggregate page analytics, plus a single cookie (hrl_entry) that remembers which guide resource led you here, so we know which guides are useful. The cookie is HttpOnly, never leaves this site, and expires after 30 days of inactivity. There are no advertising trackers and no cross-site profiling. Forms pass through Cloudflare Turnstile bot verification, which processes the request under Cloudflare's own privacy policy. Web fonts load from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address as part of that request. Site data comes from public government datasets (US Census, BLS, NOAA) and licensed research sources; figures whose licenses restrict redisplay are excluded from these pages.

What we store when you submit

Your email address, the guide that brought you here, and the result id (when you save match results) are stored in our database, along with a submission event noting your browser's user-agent string (truncated), which helps us filter bot submissions. Running the neighborhood match itself stores your answers under a random result id with no email attached; your email is only stored if you save your results.

Data Deletion

Deletion covers everything tied to your email address: your submission record with its guide attribution, and the submission event logged alongside it. Anonymous match runs carry no email, so nothing in them is tied to you. To request deletion, submit your email below and we will remove your data within 30 days. The request itself creates a record we keep only until your deletion is complete.
