Cities, communities, and districts, honestly named
Katy, Sugar Land, and Pearland are incorporated cities outside Houston. Cypress is an unincorporated Harris County community, a census-designated place rather than a city, and The Woodlands is unincorporated too. Kingwood is a community inside the City of Houston, served by Humble ISD rather than Houston ISD. This is exactly the kind of line this section exists to flag. Houston Heights, Energy Corridor, and Memorial are districts of Houston itself. School districts, property taxes, and services change at those lines, which is why every page here names the line it sits on.

Safety: no honest site ranks whole neighborhoods as safe or unsafe; review incident data for the streets you are considering and walk them at the hours you will actually be there.
